We were really pleased to welcome Vince Cable, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation & Skills, to our factory on April 2nd. Mr Cable was given a factory tour, which was followed by a positive discussion session in our meeting room where we were able to highlight some issues facing Companies on the Employee Ownership route. We also raised the subject of a ‘Made in Britain’ logo or ‘stamp’ for UK manufacturers. This follows on from Mary Portas’ programme and her visit to David Cameron requesting the Government to look into this.
Mr Cable was very interested in all that was discussed. We are very appreciative of Mr Cable taking time out of his busy schedule to visit Mid Wales & Skye.
