This is a meter and sensor which allows the user to measure light in hard to reach places. It is achieved by an innovative design that allows the light-accepting portion of the sensor to be separate from the electronics. What this means is that the probe can be inserted into tight fitting places, and measure light just as accurately as our standard light sensors, with the readings displayed on the hand-held meter.
Other possible applications for this include studying the amount of incident light in shallow waters, the amount of light entering nesting areas, light measurements in rock crevices and light penetrating thick low-lying canopies such as grasses and shrubs,
